Last week we celebrated Active School week. A huge range of activities were organised for the children. The aim behind holding Active School Week is to promote and encourage children to become more active. We had soccer, tennis, rugby, aerobics, hockey, athletics, cycling, basketball and yoga on offer. Many thanks to the parents, older siblings and community members for coming to school and showing us new skills and giving us the opportunity to try many new sports.

Rang VI climbed the 12 O’Clock Hills as part of the Active School Week activities. It was a tough 8km hike but despite aching legs and a little rain the children had a wonderful time. Later this week Rang VI will be aiming to climb Clare’s highest peak, Moylussa,  so stay tuned to see if they succeed!

We are looking forward to Active School Week 2020 already!
