Junior Infants: Drum Beats Watch Them Dance! The last two weeks the children have been taking part in Dance Lessons in the PE Hall on Friday's. The children are really enjoying these lessons. Spotted over Barefield National School on Tuesday morning was one of Santas reindeers. Also we were lucky enough to see one of Santa’s signs, X marks the spot. These signs tells us Santa is definitely on his way…..
Ms. Buckley is currently on placement in our school. She visited our classroom today and taught two lovely lessons. The children listened to a beautiful story called "Cloudette" by Tom Lichtenheld. On Friday Junior Infants put on a performance of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children have been working very hard over the last couple of weeks learning their lines and songs. This morning, as part of the Creative Schools programme, the two first classes were lucky enough to have a music lesson with Elvie Miller. We had a special visitor in our classroom when we came to school today. An elf was sitting up on top of the whiteboard. The pupils have named him 'Elfie'. Elfie is a kind and well behaved elf. It will be great fun to have him in our room until the Christmas holidays.
This week pupils in Fifth and Sixth classes have been working hard on their entries for the Cleaner Air Poetry Competition. This year's theme is 'My Journey to School'. We are looking forward to hearing all of their fabulous poems!
