The boys and girls in second class came up with some fantastic inventions and creations for our Science Week project where they had to create and make a musical instrument. The pupils really excelled and used their creative and ingenious skills to make fantastic and interesting instruments. Well done to all!!!
This week is Science Week and we have been learning all about sound, vibrations and sound waves. We completed the paper cup/phone experiment and the rice/drum experiment. Each pod also picked a scene and created their own sound effects to suit the scene using cubes, paper, plastic, pasta, rice and various other materials.
2nd Class celebrated their First Communion ceremony in The Church of our Lady on Sat 8th Aug. The beautiful ceremonies were concelebrated by Fr. Jerry assisted by Méabh's uncle Fr. Aidan. Congratulations to our wonderful school Choir who sang so majestically yesterday at the Limerick Choral Festival.
