Congratulations to the pupils from Barefield National School who were part of the Clare team that participated in the All Ireland Surf Life Saving Competition in Mullaghmore, Co. Sligo. Both the Junior and Nipper teams from Co. Clare were the overall 2019 National Beach champions.
Instead of 'Room To Improve', it was 'Classrooms to Improve' during our Summer Holidays. We had a 7 week window to complete 5 major new facilities by our back to school deadline of 28-08-2019. It is easy to see why so many of our pupils stop to admire our sunflowers with their bright, yellow petals and tall green stems.
At this time of year, all our pupils have settled back to school after a most enjoyable Summer Holiday. A warm welcome to all our new pupils and new staff.

This has been a very successful year for Barefield National School and our Marine Environment Initiatives.
