At Assembly today, the Frank Burns Memorial trophy was presented to Francis Meaney, Captain of the winning hurling team by Seán Burns. The Final was tightly contested in blistering heat between Francis Meaney’s team and Daire Connolly’s team on our school pitch. At the final whistle one point separated the teams with Francis Meaney’s team winning the trophy. During the presentation, Seán Burns, grandson of the late Frank Burns, presented the trophy and thanked both teams for a thrilling match
