The Last ‘Green’ Hurdle!!!

On Tuesday January 21st we were delighted to welcome our Green School Inspector Ms Róisín Garvey to our school.  Róisín assessed our knowledge of the Global Citizenship: Marine Environment topic which we completed over a two year period, examined our work and shared her own insights into Marine conservation. Róisín informed us that the school will be awarded its eighth Green Flag in the coming months.  Another step for the ‘GREEN’ committees success! We wish Róisín the very best in the upcoming election! :)

We would like to take the opportunity to thank committee members past and present for their dedication. See names of all students involved below. These students were voted by peers to represent their classrooms.

Mr Chambers, Ms Collins and Ms Power deserve a special mention for their work and in particular for the action days that they coordinated throughout the year.

Carmel Madigan’s input has also been invaluable ranging from her beach cleans to her fantastic workshops and amazing artistic contributions.

Finally to Principal Mr. Burns, all of the staff members, parents and pupils, thank you for all that you do, for your continued support, cooperation and hard work.
