Members of the Green-Schools Committee are starting work on the school’s ninth theme- Global Citizenship: Travel. The ultimate aim of this theme is to continue our collaborative work with the Active School Committee on encouraging pupils to walk or cycle to school where possible. This theme will also allow us to discover how our work on the Green-Schools programme is having a positive effect on global issues including air quality and sustainable development. The Committee will be planning the following between now and Christmas:
1. Socially Distant Green Flag Ceremony– to celebrate our school being awarded the Green Flag for Global Citizenship: Marine Environment. 2. Clean Air Week 2020 (23rd-27th Nov)– to include a poetry competition 3. Data gathering for the Global Citizenship: Travel theme- We start every theme with the gathering of relevant data through the completion of surveys. As we have a representative in each class from Rang 1- Rang 6, surveys and data gathering will be completed digitally in order to keep everybody safe.
