Monica, our local travel officer came to visit our school this morning. Senior members of our Green Schools Committee conducted a walkability audit and travel survey under her guidance. The children looked at the condition of the footpaths, road signage, accessibility and discussed road safety when walking, scooting or cycling to school. Committee members also completed a traffic survey and measured the speed of traffic using a speed gun outside the school. To conclude the visit, the children took part in a race and Monica measured their speed using the speed gun. We would like to thank Monica for all of her advice and support. We had a fabulous morning and we learned so much!
