Barefield N.S. was well represented in the Inter-schools Showjumping Competition held at the Clare Equestrian Centre last Friday, 19-10-2018. Our team (Sophie Mae Kerin on Misty, Victoria Burns on Arcade Eddie, Hannah Costelloe on Barossa Cavalier and Niall O’Grady on Taz) performed excellently and finished on a team score of 4 faults. This was a superb result. All the riders performed very well in their individual classes with Victoria Burns jumping a double clear. We also had Isabelle Maleady and Aideen Hassett competing individually. Isabelle jumped a double clear on Taz and Aideen also jumped a double clear on Brasil. This was the school’s first Inter-schools Showjumping competition and a great day was had by all. Well done everyone.
