Barefield N.S. were well represented in the Interschools Showjumping competition held at Clare Equestrian Centre last Friday, 19th October. Our team (Sophie Mae Kerin on Misty, Victoria Burns on Arcade Eddie, Hannah Costelloe on Barossa Cavalier and Niall O’Grady on Taz) performed excellently and finished on a team total of 4 faults. This was a super result and they just missed out qualifying for the jump off. All the riders also performed very well in their individual classes with Victoria Burns jumping a double clear and narrowly missing out on the prizes. We also had Isabelle Maleady and Aideen Hassett competing individually. Isabelle jumped a double clear on Taz and Aideen also jumped a double clear on Brasil. This was our first Interschools showjumping competition and a great day was had by all. Well done everyone!
