As part of Clean Air Week, First Class pupils learned about the negative effects of ‘idling’.

‘Idling’ is when the car’s engine is running but  the car is not moving e.g. waiting outside the school.

Idling is bad for the environment and bad for our health. It also wastes fuel and therefore wastes money.

All pupils made a pledge to remind their parents to switch off the engines of their cars when they are not moving.
