Today we had our end of term Christmas Mass. Our Senior Infants performed The Nativity Play under the excellent direction of Ms. Power, Mr. Murray, Ms. Daly and Ms. Quinn. Well done to Ms. Moore for co-ordinating the occasion, to Ms. Corrigan for the superb Christmas performance by our choir and to Fr. Ger Fitzgerald for a most meaningful Mass. The performance was a culmination of many weeks of hard work. They re-enacted in song and drama the birth of Jesus to a huge audience of grandparents, parents and pupils. Our pupils looked very festive in their Nativity costumes. Every pupil in our Senior Infants class played an active part. They received a huge “bualadh bos” when they were finished. It was a very special occasion for everyone.
“Today in Bethlehem a Saviour has been born for you. You will find the baby lying in a manger. The Shepherds were visited by an Angel. Then many more angels appeared, lighting up the sky. The Shepherds heard them praising God singing: ‘Glory to God in highest, and peace to everyone on earth “.
