Our school re-opened on Thursday, August 27th and our whole school community has worked so hard in adhering to NPHET and HSE Guidelines and in enriching the learning experiences of all our pupils. Unfortunately, the virus is currently widespread in our community so we must be extra vigilant. Our country is now entering Level 5 restrictions for the next 6 weeks. It will be very hard on all of us, on teachers, on parents, friends and family, those who are sick, losing their jobs, on reduced hours and those in need of emotional support. It will not be easy on our pupils observing the stresses of their parents. Please know we are here to support you. Always contact us in confidence if you or your family is under any pressure.
Our decisions will be made with the health and safety of our staff and pupils in mind. Some of these decisions may cause annoyance and disappointment to you but we must be extra careful and cautious during these challenging times.
During our Hallowe’en Break, I hope all of us will enjoy the time with one another, with our families, to go for walks, to listen to music, to eat great food and to have a fun filled Hallowe’en holiday.
To all our parents, teachers and pupils, I want you to know you are doing an absolutely amazing job and I deeply appreciate your hard work and on-going support.
Stay safe everyone.
John Burns (Principal)
