Today marks the start of Science Week. The children will be doing lots of fun experiments  and learning all about how science works.  They will have fun with magnets & electricity. They will learn all about forces and the properties & characteristics of materials, along with lots more.

There are a lot of great scientists in our world both past and present. Louis Pasteur was a French chemist who developed the germ theory. He is a very interesting scientist to read about. His fantastic work and research is so relevant to the pandemic in our world today. I wonder how long it would have taken him to find a vaccine for Covid-19!!!!

Keep an eye out for lots of science themed programmes on  television. ‘Let’s Find Out’ is a really good one and it can be watched on RTE player.

Have an ‘explosive’ week.
