The Green Schools Committee is inviting you all to take part in the Big Travel Challenge 2022. Walking, cycling, or scooting to school is an opportunity to increase physical activity. The aim of the challenge is to promote a sustainable mode of transport for 10 days during the month of February.
In order to promote the Big Travel Challenge 2022, we are encouraging pupils to write a rap or poem based on the theme of Global Citizenship: Travel. A recording of the winner/winners performing their rap will be uploaded to the school website.
We are also asking members of our school community to make a special effort to park and stride or walk to school between February 1st and 14th. Each class will use a tracker sheet to record the total number of pupils in each class walking to school. These numbers will be submitted to Green Schools Ireland.
