Well done to 45 pupils from Rang VI for hiking to the highest point in Clare on Friday.
We left school for Killaloe at 9am and began our hike at 10.15am. We reached the peak of Moylussa (532 metres) after about 2 hours of walking. We took in the spectacular views of Lough Derg as we walked. We took lots of photos at the summit and then started our journey down. We had our lunch in a sheltered spot, with breathtaking views, close to the summit. The total hike took us 3 hours. Everyone was tired but happy when we got back to the bus!
We had a most enjoyable day. What a great achievement for our Sixth Class pupils.
Thanks to Joe, Helena, Gloria and the teachers for helping out.
