In 1991, the Board of Management of Barefield N.S. was delighted to provide accommodation to Mary Collins to set up our Over the Rainbow Playschool in Barefield N.S. The Board also provided a section of its pitch for a play area. Since then, our Playschool has gone from strength to strength.
Our Playschool is an integral part of school life in Barefield N.S. and receives great, positive feedback from all parents. All our pupils are happy, content and busy at learning and playing during their day. Pupils attending our Playschool experience and enjoy a smooth transition from Playschool to Junior Infants in our national school.
Our Playschool is HSE approved and provides a low cost quality child care service. All our Playschool Management and Staff are Garda Vetted and approved by the school Board of Management.
In the current year, there are 28 children in attendance. It opens at 9.00a.m. to 3.30p.m. offering morning and afternoon sessions. Our Playschool calendar corresponds with our national school calendar.
Our vibrant Playschool provides a wonderful and ideal introduction to playing and learning in a warm, stimulating and safe environment for the children who will graduate to Junior Infants in Barefield N.S.
