Poets of the Future.

This week Mr. Gleeson and pupils of Rang V were busy learning all there is to know about poetry. They explored a variety of poetic techniques, practised their rhyming skills and studied the work of William Shakespeare. Each pupil got the opportunity to create a poem based on a close encounter. Their poems were influenced by the poem studied in class, called: “A Close One “, written by Jim Halligan. The standard of the pupils’ work was excellent and the poems they wrote were of a very high standard.  It is clear that there are some future poets among us!
