We are very lucky to have so many beautiful trees right on our doorstep in Barefield N.S. During the week, 5th class set about the task of identifying all of these trees. On the path just outside our school we identified birch, maple, elder and ash trees. Further down the path near the crossroad we found beech, horse chestnut and holly. Just around the corner we located some hazel trees and sycamore. In the community field ivy, blackthorn, whitethorn, willow, beech and beautiful spindle trees were identified. On the school grounds we found cherry trees, a beech hedge and an oak tree behind the goalposts. Take a look at just some of our ‘tree-mendous’ trees! (Pictured in order are whitethorn, willow, blackthorn, beech, oak, cherry, hazel, holly, horse chestnut, elder and ash)
