This week is Science Week and we have been learning all about sound, vibrations and sound waves. We completed the paper cup/phone experiment and the rice/drum experiment. Each pod also picked a scene and created their own sound effects to suit the scene using cubes, paper, plastic, pasta, rice and various other materials.
Members of the Green-Schools Committee are starting work on the school’s ninth theme- Global Citizenship: Travel. Yesterday our two first classes went on a 'Halloween Hunt' in their pods around the school. The children worked together to solve the spooky riddles. Great fun was had by all!
We are really looking forward to Halloween in First Class. Today we listened to spooky music and created creepy Halloween pictures. Each child presented their artwork to their classmates. They discussed the eerie additions that made their artwork super scary. Well done everybody!
