Just a few photographs to show the children busy with their spider webs in Visual Art before the Halloween. The children were set the task of ensuring no two web windows could be the same colour i.e. none of the 'web boxes' could match in colour to the one next to it.
In autumn the children enjoyed engaging in Visual Arts. Drawing trees, using the colours of brown, orange, yellow and green the children had to paint an autumn themed drawing. Another challenging art lesson was the use of the interactive white board to display an animal or animals associated with autumn i.e. hedgehog & red squirrel. [...]
Barefield National School participated in the Concern Worldwide Debating competition last week. The pupils from Ms Clune's 5th class took on the pupils from Inch National School. Our Hallwe'en Party truly lived up to all expectations this year. We had fairies, princes and pupils dressed in the most creative and fun costumes roaming our classrooms and corridors. Bhain gach duine sár taitneamh as an lá. A huge 'bualadh bos' to all who made such a spooktacular effort!
Our Parents' Association will be hosting our annual Hallowe'en Cake Sale and Coffee morning this Friday October 25th from 9.30am. They are inviting parents to attend if convenient, as it is a great opportunity to meet and to chat with other parents over a coffee, while also giving parents an opportunity to see their child(ren) [...]
This has been a very successful year for Barefield National School and our Marine Environment Initiatives. All the students and staff have put in lots of effort and we are all now much more aware of the Marine Environment and the damage that is being caused.
