6th class investigated materials for Science Week 2020. We made a non-newtonian fluid using cornflour & water - apply pressure & it's a solid, let it relax and it's a liquid. We also investigated what happens when you combine an acid and a base and used it to make Carbon Dioxide.
Today the wonderful boys and girls in Blossom & Bloom made some brown bread. The children loved mixing the ingredients, preparing the baking tin and putting the dough into the oven. Watch out GBBO 🍞🍞
6th class were exploring Materials and Change for Science Week 2020. We explored different powders, and even made our own butter and ice-cream!
This week is Science Week and we have been learning all about sound, vibrations and sound waves. We completed the paper cup/phone experiment and the rice/drum experiment. Each pod also picked a scene and created their own sound effects to suit the scene using cubes, paper, plastic, pasta, rice and various other materials.
