We had a great day today as we celebrated St Patrick’s Day ☘️ and the end of ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ with ‘Lá Glas’. This week in 2nd Class we were very busy learning all about Spring. We wrote some lovely acrostic poems. We also enjoyed reading ‘Daffodils’ by William Wordsworth where he writes about ‘a host of golden daffodils’, just like the ones we made using paint, crayons and egg cartons. The lovely children in our Blossom & Bloom class returned to school this week. We had great fun meeting our friends again, going on nature walks to the community garden, visiting a local farm and feeding newborn lambs.
Last Thursday the children in Junior Infants were on 'Sneachta Watch'. Fourth class enjoyed a little bit of art over the last few weeks. They have been busy painting windows, posters and snow owls. Rang 6 have been recreating life in the trenches during the Great War by making shoebox dioramas. The results are stunning and show great understanding, ingenuity and creativeness - here are some sample projects.
