All the pupils in the school were busy completing their school run as part of our Active Schools initiative.

Indoor hurling
Congratulations to Barefield National School indoor hurlers who were runners up at the Cuman na mBunscoil indoor hurling league. A great article in last week’s Clare Champion newspaper. The team received their medals at assembly last week. Well done to all involved.
Active School Flag Raising Cermony
On January 29th 2019, Peter Duggan, Clare hurler, paid a visit to Barefield National School. He was invited to mark the occasion of our school achieving an Active School flag. National Nipper Championships
Huge congratulations to all the pupils from Barefield National School who were part of the team who retained the titles of National Beach Junior Nipper Champions and overall National Nipper Champions in Kilkee on Saturday 25th August 2018.
